Facebook tests cross posting stories on Instagram
Social media giant Facebook is testing a new feature that will allow Facebook Stories to be posted to Instagram Stories on Tuesday.
Currently, Instagram Stories can be shared in Facebook Stories, but the reverse is not possible. The feature came as Facebook continued to integrate Instagram with the rest of its services.
According to a Facebook spokesperson, the company is now formally testing the cross-posting feature to make it easier for a user to share moments with them, as people on Facebook vs. Instagram have different viewers and followers Can occur.
Facebook will continue to explore options to simplify and improve how it works in its app.
The new option will allow stories to be shared from one platform to another.
The screenshot of the Facebook-to-Instagram cross-posting feature was posted by Jane Manchun Wong, who regularly discovers new social networking features prior to its release.
The feature is accessible to testers through the Story Privacy Settings page in the Facebook app, where a new "Share Story to Instagram" toggle will be found.
