To fight with the coronavirus, the Indian Railways is making the coaches of the empty train bogies as isolation coaches. Considering the increasing number of corona virus patients in the country, more isolation centers may be needed in the coming time.

Separate cabins are being built in the bogies for doctors, nurses and para medical staff.
Both toilets are being converted into bathrooms by sanitizing the coach. Along with this, fresh flooring is being done.
The middle berth has been removed from one side to prepare the cabin for the patient. All 3 berths in front of the patient's berth have been removed. All the stairs to climb the berth have also been removed.
Bathrooms, corridors and other places have also been reshaped to prepare isolation coaches. Railways says that buckets and hands showers have been provided for bathing in coaches.
Electric points have been made in the compartment for medical equipment. 10 isolation wards will be prepared in each coach.
Railways is planning to change 10 coaches in the isolation ward every week in every zone.
Railways says that if necessary, a ward of isolated ward can be built up to three lakh. Railways have all the arrangements for this.
