Lockdown 5.0 : Nationwide lockdown in containment zones extended up to June 30



The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued guidelines regarding Lockdown 5.0 on Saturday.  The new guidelines envisage strict implementation in the Containment Zone.  Lockdown 5.0 will remain in force until 30 June.  The government has called it Unlockdown 1 instead of Lockdown.  The government is trying to bring normal life back on track.


According to the new guidelines, the night curfew will continue, there will be no curfew for the essential things.  There will now be a night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am.  Till now it was from 7 pm to 7 am.

  • The government will take a decision later on the opening of school-colleges and educational institutions.
  • The temple-mosque-gurudwara-church will be opened from June 8.
  • The malls will also open in a phased manner, schools and colleges can be opened from July.
  • Restaurants and hotels will open from June 8.
  • Old rules will remain in force in marriage and funeral.

However, there are a few activities which will not be allowed, no matter where you are in green, Orange, Red Zones etc.

 1. International air travel of passengers.

 2. Opening of metro rails.

 3. Cinema halls.

 4. Gyms.

 5. Swimming pools.

 6. Entertainment parks.

 7. Theaters.

 8. Bars and auditoriums.

 9. Assembly halls.

 10. Social / political / sports / entertainment / academic / cultural / religious gatherings.

Big news about the corona virus is coming out of the European country France. According to a report, France's 160 million face masks were burnt amid the epidemic.  It was then reported that there is no need for a mask.  It is also being told that about 35 doctors have died due to Corona virus infection in France.  The news of shortage of PPE kits in the country on one side and the burning of 160 crore masks by France on the other is shocking.


America has announced its withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO).  President Donald Trump said at a Friday press conference, "China keeps the WHO under control despite giving $ 40 million a year, while the US gives about $ 450 million to the WHO a year.

In the midst of the Corona crisis, earthquake tremors struck Delhi-NCR.  This is the third time in the past 1 month in Delhi when earthquakes have hit the capital.  Earthquake tremors were felt in Ghaziabad and Noida adjacent to Delhi.  The earthquake is reported to be 4.6 on the Richter scale.  According to reports, Rohtak in Haryana was the epicenter of the earthquake.


Former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and Janata Congress Chhattisgarh Chief Ajit Jogi has passed away.  His son Amit Jogi has given information about this.  Ajit Jogi was ill for the last several days and was in a coma.  On Saturday (9 May), he was admitted to a hospital in Raipur for treatment after cardiac arrest.
