Government bans 59 Chinese apps including TikTok


The Indian government has taken major action against China and has banned 59 Chinese Chinese mobile apps.  This includes apps like Tiktok, Share It, UC Browser, Hello, Vigo.  The IT ministry said in an official statement released on Monday that it had received several complaints from various sources, including several reports about the misuse of some mobile apps available on Android and iOS platforms.  These reports state that these apps "steal" users' data and send them unauthorizedly to servers located outside India.
