5 killed in storm, water and lightning strikes in UP again


In other parts of Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday, nature once again wreaked havoc.  5 people died due to thunderstorms, water and lightening.  One person died in Prayagraj, Basti, Ballia, Ayodhya and Mau.  Many people were also injured in different accidents.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (CM Yogi Adityanath) expressed condolences to the people killed in it.  Besides, instructions were given to the concerned district magistrates for proper treatment of the injured.  Besides, instructions were also given to give immediate relief amount of Rs. 4 lakh to the relatives of the deceased.

According to the details provided by the Relief Commissioner, one person died in the districts of Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Mau, Ballia and Basti due to lightning on Wednesday.  In Basti district, a person was seriously injured by lightning.

The state government spokesman said that the Chief Minister has expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the dead.  He has directed the officials to provide relief and help to the affected people with utmost readiness.  Besides, instructions have also been given for proper treatment of the injured person in the township.

24 shot dead as gunmen attack Mexican drug rehab center

On Wednesday, some gunmen opened fire at a drug rehabilitation center in Mexico, killing 24 people and injuring seven others.  Police said that the center is not even registered.  Police in Guanajuato said the attack took place in the city of Irapuato on Wednesday.  Three of the seven injured are in critical condition.

CBI files case against arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari, took commission of $ 5 million

The CBI has registered another case against absconding arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari, who is facing investigations in several defense deals.  Bhandari is accused of influencing government officials to get an oil refinery contract awarded to Samsung Engineering Corporation Limited, a Korean company in Gujarat, and took a commission of about $ 5 million from Samsung.
