Famous choreographer Saroj Khan passes away, another major blow to Bollywood

Famous choreographer Saroj Khan has passed away. She was admitted to the hospital after complaining of breathlessness. Where she died due to cardiac arrest at 1:52 am on Friday. A few days ago her corona test was also done which came negative. Saroj Khan was 72 years old. She taught dance to many Bollywood actors including Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi.

A few days ago Saroj Khan was admitted to the hospital after suffering from shortness of breath where her health was improving.

His family had told, 'A few days ago Saroj Khan told about the difficulty in breathing, after which we took him to the hospital.  All of us were under tension.  The good thing is that she do not have Covid infection.  She is feeling better now.  She will be discharged by tomorrow.

Saroj Khan choreographed over 2000 songs.  Few people know that Saroj Khan's real name was Nirmala Nagpal.  Saroj's father's name is Kishanchand Sadhu Singh and mother's name is Noni Sadhu Singh.  Saroj Khan's family migrated to India from Pakistan after partition.  Saroj started working as a child artist at the age of just 3 years.  Her first film was Nazarana in which she played the role of a girl named Shyama.

In the 50's, Saroj started working as a background dancer.  She trained with choreographer B. Sohanlal.  Saroj joined the film Geeta Mera Naam, released in 1974, as an independent choreographer, though her work was recognized much later.  Saroj Khan's main films are Mr. India, Nagina, Chandni, Tezaab, Thanedar and Son.

Saroj Khan married her first master B. Sohanlal.  Both had a gap of 30 years.  Saroj was 13 years old at the time of marriage.  She accepted the religion of Islam and he was 43 years old and married B. Sohanlal.  This was the second marriage of Sohanlal.  They had four children from their first marriage.  Saroj Khan had told in an interview that 'I used to study in school those days, then one day my dance master Sohanlal tied a black thread around my neck and I got married'.

In the interview with a TV channel, Saroj Khan had told that 'I had taken Islam religion with my own will. At that time many people asked me that there is no pressure on me but it was not so. I get inspiration from Islam religion.'

Sohanlal did not talk about his first marriage while marrying Saroj. In 1963, Saroj Khan's son Raju Khan was born, then she know about Sohanlal's married life. In 1965, Saroj gave birth to another child but only after 8 months child died. After the birth of children, Sohanlal refused to give her his name. After this the distances have come between the two. Saroj is also a daughter Cuckoo. Saroj taken the care of both the children alone.

24 shot dead as gunmen attack Mexican drug rehab center

On Wednesday, some gunmen opened fire at a drug rehabilitation center in Mexico, killing 24 people and injuring seven others.  Police said that the center is not even registered.  Police in Guanajuato said the attack took place in the city of Irapuato on Wednesday.  Three of the seven injured are in critical condition.

5 killed in storm, water and lightning strikes in UP again

In other parts of Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday, nature once again wreaked havoc.  5 people died due to thunderstorms, water and lightening.  One person died in Prayagraj, Basti, Ballia, Ayodhya and Mau.  Many people were also injured in different accidents.

CBI files case against arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari, took commission of $ 5 million

The CBI has registered another case against absconding arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari, who is facing investigations in several defense deals.  Bhandari is accused of influencing government officials to get an oil refinery contract awarded to Samsung Engineering Corporation Limited, a Korean company in Gujarat, and took a commission of about $ 5 million from Samsung.
