200 passenger trains will run from June 1, booking starts at 10 am today
In the midst of the Corona crisis, the Railways has taken a big step. There will be a partial restoration of the rail service from June 1. Railways will start 200 passenger trains. For this, booking will start from Thursday (May 21). Booking will start from 10 am on Thursday on the IRCTC website. Tatkal or Premium Tatkal will not be available. Entry will be available at the station only when there is a confirmed ticket.
These special services of Railways will be in addition to the existing Shramik and special AC trains. These trains will be fully reserved like AC and Non AC. There will be reserved seats to sit in the general coach. There will be no unreserved coach in the train. The fare will be normal and (2S) fare will be taken as general coach is reserved and all passengers will be provided seats.
At the same time, for running Shramik Special Train, the Ministry of Railways will not need to take permission of any state and the Railway Ministry will have the right to take decisions. After this decision, now the railways will not have to wait for the permission of the states and the center will be able to run more and more trains, in which more passengers will be able to travel than before.
Under the SOP issued by the Center, the state will mark the officers in charge and make necessary arrangements to send or bring the migrants.
Actually, so far it has come that the consent of both the states was necessary for running the Shramik special trains. That is, the state from which the migrants would move, the state had to get the consent of the state to which the migrants want to return, and before the departure of the train, a copy of it had to be provided to the railways. Due to the inattention of the states, a large number of trains could not run.
