In view of the Corona crisis, the public sector banks have started providing relief to their customers after the Reserve Bank announced discounts to banks for not taking EMI.  Most of the banks have said to take March EMI in June although some banks have opted for EMI.  That is, if someone wants to keep paying EMI, then he can pay.

First of all, State Bank of India deferred EMI of all term loans falling between 1 March 2020 to 31 May 2020 for 3 months ahead.  That is, the March EMI will be taken in June.  With this, Punjab and Sindh Bank has also postponed the EMI of three months.

Andhra Bank has also given relief in credit card dues along with 3 months EMI of term loan.

IDBI Bank has also postponed EMI for 3 months, although the bank has given the option to continue EMI to customers who can pay EMI during this period.

Canara Bank has also promised to give loans up to 20 lakhs without collateral and margin to the self-help group with a relief of 3 months.

At the same time, Indian Bank, UCO Bank, Syndicate Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Bank of Baroda, Central Bank of India, OBC, Punjab National Bank Allahabad Bank, Bank of India, Union Bank, Corporation Bank also from 1 March to 31 May 2020.  It has been decided to postpone the middle EMI by June.
