Unilateral attempt to change LAC:-
Meanwhile, India said on Tuesday that the violent clash between the Indian and Chinese armies in eastern Ladakh was caused by "the Chinese side's efforts to unilaterally change the status quo" in the area. The Foreign Ministry has said that if the Chinese side had followed it seriously at the top level in the past, then the casualties on both sides could have been avoided.
External Affairs Ministry spokesman Anurag Srivastava said, "While expressing a responsible view on border management, India clearly believes that all our activities have always been on the Indian side of the LAC (Line of Actual Control). We expect the same from China. "
On Monday night, an Indian colonel and two soldiers were killed during a violent clash with Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley of eastern Ladakh. Srivastava said, "Our unwavering belief is that there is a need to maintain peace in the border region and differences should be resolved through dialogue."
He added, "At the same time we are fully committed to ensuring India's sovereignty and territorial integrity."
