Railways take decision amidst Indo-China tension - cancels Rs 471 crore contract with Chinese firm
Between India-China, the government has taken another big decision between dispute and stress. This time the decision has taken the Ministry of Railway. Railway Undertaked Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation Limited has canceled the ongoing contract with Chinese firm Beijing National Railway Research and Design Institute of Signal and Communication Company Limited.
In fact, this Chinese company was given the work of signing and telecom in a section of 417 km from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Railway section from Kanpur. This work was Rs 471 crore. In June 2016, this work was given to this Chinese form under contract.
But according to the railway, 4 years of contractions have been passed so far only 20 per cent work was done. Work was being done very slow.
Yesterday, on June 17, Prime Minister Modi warned China and said that the price of China's deception and work will be paid. After this, the first Communications Ministry issued not only on the use of equipment related to the Chinese company but also issued instructions to cancel the tender to the Chinese company. Apart from this, private service providers were also instructed to remove Chinese equipment. Two Chinese companies were particularly targeted. Reasons behind this, it is believed to be allegation of data stealing and espionage through these companies.
Now the Railways has also canceled the agreement of 471 crore of Chinese company. This move of Railways is being seen by connecting the stress between India. It was being done very slow. The satisfactory answer was not available when asking for answers from the corporation. On this, the Railway has canceled the Chinese firm contract. However, the reason for cancellation of the contact, the Chinese firm's negligence attitude is described.
