India to get $ 1 billion package amid Corona crisis, World Bank announced
The World Bank on Friday approved $ 1 billion 'Accelerating India's COVID-19 Social Protection Response Program' to support the country's efforts for providing social assistance to the poor and vulnerable people, severely impacted by the pandemic.
This takes the total commitment from the World Bank towards emergency Covid-19 response in India to $ 2 billion. A $ 1 billion support was announced last month to support India's health sector.
World Bank has given great relief to India between the Corona Crisis. For government programs, the World Bank has announced a billion dollar package. This package will be a social security package. Earlier, India's New Development Bank from Bricks countries had announced to give a billion dollar emergency aid amount to the battle from Corona.World Bank's India Head Junaid Ahmed said that Word Bank will participate in the three regions with the Government of India - Health, Social Security and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). India's social security is motivated to build migrants, unorganized workers, portability and integration of system.

The NDMA said the lockdown period has been extended to prevent Covid-19 from spreading and new guidelines will be issued.

8 migrant labourers died and over 54 suffered injuries after the truck they were travelling in was hit by a speeding bus in Madhya Pradesh's Guna early this morning. The incident took place hours after a group of migrants were run over by a speeding bus in Uttar Pradesh. Whereas a roadways bus in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh crushed the workers on foot. Six workers were killed and four were seriously injured in the accident.
